What do you think will be the game next year?

:grimacing: Oh golly

The idea of tic-tac-toe with game elements was a good idea, but the rest of the game wasn’t. Maybe stacking blocks in different goal zones in a tic-tac-toe pattern…

We dont need another rise above.

Those of us that host the field (at home, school or otherwise) are likely NOT hoping for this.

yes definitely would be fun

wasnt that the 21-22 game?

Sounds like one vex IQ game from a previous year

for IQ, 2021-2022 was Pitching In. You had to get under a bar, shoot balls into a basket and hang at the end, IIRC.

I was thinking of VRC Tipping point, where you had to balance your robot on acrylic tetter-totters in the endgame, sorry for no clarification

oh. Yeah, you are right, EDR did have the balance recently, with those cones IIRC

Reminder for VIQRC that during the EP Summit it was announced that there would be a role for a 3rd driver. VRC folks: were/aren’t there games where a 3rd driver was used? What was that person used for? Feeding elements to the robot? Resetting elements?

My personal interest would be a game where some other components could be useful like winch and rope (fishing? harpooning? dragging?), or the magnetic parts (fishing for metal?). Lots of fun possibilities.

They are referred to as “drive team members”, VRC only allows a max of 2 controllers per robot.

This year, especially for skills, “match loading”, or the introduction of game elements into the field by drive team members while the robots are being driven, is crucial. Hence, they are also referred to as “match loaders” (the more you have the more the driver can just drive and the faster all matchloads can be put into the field).

They are also used for strategic purposes, such as watching other robots, communicating with the other robot on your alliance, or telling/recommending things the driver should do.

Fishing does imply the use of water…

Introducing… VRC Down Under

Where robots must cook various Australian & New Zealand food dishes.

(Bonus points if you can incorporate vegemite into your dish)

I will not play another game with triballs.

Can’t wait to show up to a competition with brown water :moyai:

Na bruh, the second that stuff hits the brain, -500$ from each team bank acount LOL

Although I think having a water game would be cool it seems out of pocket. I feel like thats more of a joke because of the whole electronics and water not playing nice together. Is this an actual consideration?

Has about the same chance as DRow getting on the GDC :upside_down_face:

You are correct, it is just a joke. No one actually thinks that VEX will consider a water game. Who knows though?

I hope it will be like a barrier in the middle and teams try to stack towers and knock down the other teams by shooting objects at the opposing teams tower.

Yes we all need to hope for that. That will be the best if we get lamas
