It was our first tournament where the other team did transitive contact multiple times but the judges only counted it once. We were new so we didn’t realize this and later one of our friends told us that and we reviewed the video to see they were right. It was too late to get it revised.

With rules like SG3 where everyone knows it it’s fine but there were a few calls, especially one in the finals match that resulted in what would’ve been the winning alliance if not for the violation getting disqualified. He didn’t say which tule was violated only what happened at the time of the violation so we have no clue what rule they violated and what to make sure not to do.

I believe it was during Starstruck at VEX Worlds 2017. We were picked for an alliance and we accepted. They were a really good team, except one thing. Our alliance partner did not show up to the first match of eliminations. Then for the second match of eliminations our 9V battery fell in front of the drivetrain dangling, causing my drivetrain to burn out because it kept driving over the battery. The robot had one of the greatest chances at making freedom hall but we would never have known as the two most important matches were the most unlucky ones.
Also at CREATE US OPEN during Starstruck, every single qualification match our alliance partner fell at either the beginning of auton or the driver control. Absolutely unlucky.

Wasn’t our team but in SF of a tournament Red 1 had battery fall out and so blue had literally every mobile goal. However, red 2 tried to elevate bot just for consolation and platform jammed on perimeter. Match was replayed and red won. Kinda feel bad for blue team tho
Fire alarm just went off in the middle of our tournament, don’t know what happened yet but it’s put us like 60-90 minutes behind schedule.

That happened to us at a recent tournament as well. We ended up a total of around 2 hours behind due to the fire alarm and just the usual tournament running behind.
At a tournament yesterday I had to replay my quarter finals match 4 times. We beat our opponents 3 times but at the last 3-7 seconds of every match their tower would disconnect and they couldn’t move. My drive had started to burn out by the 4th replay. We were still winning when I stupidly didn’t pay attention and I had my battery wire graze the opponent platform and because of that we lost the match by less than 30 points. I’m honestly just upset at myself mostly but I’m slightly annoyed that they had us replay the match on a field that was notoriously buggy throughout the day. Our sister team had to replay a match 7 times because of tower disconnects. On the final replay they had us switch to the other field.
My rear tilter life absolutely broke and I could not get it fixed. Then proceeded to get paired with clawbot after clawbot and then I had no idea who to choose and got picked by a clawbot and lost
Yesterday was Georgia’s state comp and our robot got sabotaged and our battery got stolen. I thought we had no haters but after this comp we figured out we had some.
I am sorry to hear this happened. I hope you let the Event Partner and the RECF Team Engagement Manager know about this situation. It is possible that they can track down what happened as this could be a RECF Code of Conduct violation.
At a competition yesterday, the EP and people who had assembled the fields didnt actually affix the interface towers that you plug into with the bracket piece, but instead loosely attached it with zip ties. In my first qualifier, with 40 seconds left and 2 goals already stacked and about to stack a third, this tower flipped over onto my platform and knocked everything over. Had to pull up rules about rerunning matches because they were so unaware of almost any of the rules and were just going to add 2 elevated goals onto my end score
this is IQ,but i let another team from my school code on my laptop. By doing this, it allowed them to overtake us in skills and wins skills+excellence, meaning they qualled for worlds. If I used my brain and kept my laptop for my team, we would have already qualled for worlds
Are alliance partner got call for “hoarding” in a QF match, all four robots were in one corner(red side right side), our team possessing two goals(one alliance goal and one neutral), the opposing alliance had a neutral goal stack on top of the balanced platform. keep this in mind the battery on one of the robots fell off on the opposing and that robot couldn’t move, blocking our teams escape, the other opposing alliance robot was in possession of their two alliance goals and were incapable of moving another goal without much much difficulty, was also blocking the path by sitting horizontal to us, trapping us in the corner.(note: Our other alliance goal was on the other side of the platform).

We got DQ for our alliance member “hoarding”, despite not breaking the SG7 rule and the hoarding rule in general, and while the head referee ignored are pleas for the G3 rule as well. probably spent 10 minutes arguing with the head referee.
After the tournament itself the head referee came to apologize to us for the mistake. after the hosting school coach call him out for it after seeing the footage.

The head judge didn’t make any mistakes. Unless you were supposed to get a judged award and didn’t.
