That’s really sad, since you guys could of one a states elim match but did you all qualify for worlds at least?
Once at a tournament I went to queue for finals with the controller while my teammate swapped out the battery. I started moving the joysticks in circles thinking the robot was turned off not looking at it. It turns out my teammate was talking to my coach and the robot drove off the table and shattered into pieces.
Last year, our robot moved off a table for some reason and broke, so we modified it to only pass. That’s how we got the Create Award.
drivetrain didnt work the whole time. It was awful
In finals we had a double stack that needed to be pushed in zone but driver two panicked and he touched two instead which cost us 2nd place
A recent one that was a couple weeks ago was interesting. One of our sister teams would have won their match by parking, but instead they forgot their color and parked in the opposite color parking zone. They got a DQ and lost 48-54, and their alliance was so mad because that was the only qual they lost all day.
Our ally’s bot shut down mid-game. And apparently, their bot “went rogue”…
And another team from our school made it to the finals without even scoring a SINGLE POINT.
Funny story, the only reason my team got paired up with a team that doesn’t have a working robot for finals is because they got paired with a team that scored 159 points for them, and they did literally nothing.
My robot’s battery literally got ripped out in the middle of a game. I mean, like, the cable was literally broken. We repaired it but yeah.
Our robot’s intake was suported by two L beams and in the middle of a match they both snaped.
I used a clawbot last year and during the middle of Semifinals the claw broke and the other teams bot broke after scoring 6 points.
Once someone I know NOT my team btw THREW a pin(On the field) at someone randomly
My bot brain randomly stopped working and we had an alliance match in 10 minutes. We could not fix the brain to this day and didn’t have any spares.
At one of our tournies, this little kid loaded at the wrong angle. After the match the two drivers ganged up on him and started throwing all of the field elements at the kid while shooting a whole slew of curses at him. The kid literally left the tourney scarred-
Sounds like a G1 violation…
Losing QF to our sister team as 1 seed because we had no air then our teammate got stuck so we had to 2v1 as pretty much a push bot, where we only lost by 3 blocks 
Last year, our robot accidentally broke the field and we had to redo the match.
Did the judges do anything?
Oh wow. How bad was the field broken and did you go on to win the match redo?
It wasnt that bad. The Rapid Relay sign just kinda fell and thats it.
