What lifts is everyone planning to use for this year’s game. Our team is deciding between a couple different ones and I am interested to hear what other people are thinking about
I think this reply to another topic applies here as well.
right now our team is working on a pythagoian lift and a pneumatic conveyor lift which are both pretty unconventional but I don’t know about any conventional ones
What is an
and a
?

A pythagorian lift turns a motor spinning into linear motion by compressing triangles and a pneumatic conveyor lift is exactly what it sounds like
Sorry you’re right, I should have said what we were deciding between before I asked for tips
Yeah I mean’t a scissor lift I just forgot what it was called
My team and my sister team are testing out a cascade and DR4B, respectively. I am kinda hopeful on that cascade, as it gives the most verticality with less horizontal, meaning it won’t be as hard to make balanced
I want to do a cascade lift but due to the horrendous polycarbonate rule that stifles innovation and building skill I will probably just resort to a 4 bar of some kind. Dr4b is popular but I think there could be better. Overall if my cascade prototypes don’t go well I’ll probably do a normal 4 bar or dr4b.
I think Cascade is pretty close to one of our teams designs
I get the feeling our sister team (2775S) is just going build an oversized clawbot like they did last year.
I was thinking of making one but didn’t understand how it lifted but this really helped, thanks.
