This is my first year in robotics and as a senior, since this is my last year as well as many of our teammates, we went all out in making this a great season, and we did! Making it to states!! We couldn’t qualify for worlds but we’re still on the waitlist so who knows!
We had 3 people working on the notebook and had a very unique approach to the notebook. We first had a normal engineering notebook until we decided it would be better to create a digital version. And so as I worked on the digital notebook, we had 2 people, Joel and the best transcriber in the world, MUZAMALEEEEE, working on transcribing the digital version onto the physical version!! It was a very interesting experience because it meant double the work! But with this method, it provided the most accurate information possible for our design process and we hope that for next year, digital versions will be allowed so that the robotics kids don’t have to suffer as much as we did :DDDD
Anyways, here is our digital notebook! It is in no way any good, however I hope it provides some methods to how you can approach formatting your notebook! We might show the photocopy of the physical notebook however it has no pictures pasted. Handwriting is top quality though thanks to Muzamel and Joel, so maybe we will photocopy the notebook. They had transcribed everything onto the notebook except for the pictures :)) so noo design award sadly :(( 2068C Engineering Notebook!
I also want to thank 10703Z: 10703Z Change Up Reveal for showcasing such an incredible notebook! Her notebook is hands down 100x better than ours and I highly suggest checking her notebook out! I can’t tell you how many times I used her notebook as reference with color coding and formatting. SUUUPER helpful.
Also! Although 2068C didn’t make it to worlds, 2068B actually did! They need a bit of funding for the costs so I want to do my part in reaching out, so if you’d like, you can check out their Gofundme! Fundraiser for Sejal Sharma by Muzamel Ali : Help OPHS 2068 reach VEX Worlds Championship
