I’ve been on and off of them the past few years. I’ve found the more I drive the more automation I want in my controls, and the simpler I want my controller. We drove claw with the cortex controllers and when we switched our robot to V5 we found ourselves wanting more buttons. While it’s true that scuffs give you more buttons without bringing your finger off the joysticks, it’s also more buttons to remember to press. I haven’t really had a weird tournament experience, but I felt like sharing this anyways. We went to a tournament in southern Utah last year, and the highschool teams were sitting on top of the folded bleachers in the school gym we were in. That’s not strange until you saw their rubber band guns they made out of vex parts. Not only were they extremely janky looking, but they also worked way to well. So you could just be in the pit fixing your motors and all of a sudden a rubber band would hit you in the head. It was certainly an interesting experience.

after reading the vex weights topic about tungsten C channels and strapping high strength axles on, I read that meme wrong and thought it was a reference to that saying “ADD LEaD STRIP TO THE CHASSIS”

For counterbalancing and other things Vex needs to add weights that screw on robots. Comment your opinion I guess, I’ve been wanting vex weights for years.
