I think you may just be seeing a robot reveal in a few weeksā¦
Explain?? Is vex coming out with a new instructional build?
Do you have any pictures? Right now me and my team build a 5 sprocket chain drive train with a four bar linkage and forklift. It looks something like this but a lot bigger base and Omni wheels! I really want to get this robot correct because our school (Faith Lutheran) is hosting the state championship.Forklift|206x244
I was talking about doing a bot reveal. I have an elevator lift, and Iām starting on a new bot, so Iām starting filming.
I donāt know about that. I can get 210 points only carrying three max at a time in Driver Skills. VEX IQ 97300J Rise Above 2020-2021 Driver Skills 210 Points Robot Design #5 - YouTube
Yes! In youre brotherās channel he said that you guys are looking for a new bot design that you can get more points with. I think that my ferris wheel idea might work. Go up a little in this forum to see it. It is not done yet though.
Can your ferris wheel triple stack??
Honestly the ferries wheel is not most efficient. I would highly suggest going with an alternatre deighn
This is still not enough if you really want to compete at a high level this will NEVER be enoughf. sure it might get you through regionals and if you live in a state where ther is not much competition ven through state but at worlds you will be destroye just utterly anighlated.
If you find a design that can score more points, I will believe you, but until then, I am going off of how many points a robot can get (in reality, not theoretically). I agree that this design will probably not win champs (there is definitely a better design out there, and if you find it, Iād love to see it), but as of now it is the best I have seen.
Your ferries wheel design is definitely innovative, and would probably win some awards, but my hallucination is that it wonāt quite compare to some of the better robots out there. Of course, Iād have to see it in action (something I am looking forward to), and I still think it is a great design and worth trying. Good luck with it!
Good job! I havenāt managed to get it that high.
YES HAVE YOU NOT READ ANY OF MY POSTS EXPLAINING HOW IT WORKS!!? I have specificly explained multiple times how it works. The lifts on the side will take it up quite high. High enough to triple stack.
This is a side project im testing. I have abot 42 points in code with another robot
I just wanna say that I just put motors on my ferris wheel and, surprise surprise, it works! I will post a skills vid on youtube hopefully very soon.
Been there, done that. (donāt be like me) ![]()
lol k i wont (or try)
What does everyone think about the Game Manual Update (page 31) for virtual events, and more specifically, the new teamwork layout for virtual events? Also, what new robot designs/changes to existing robot designs will there be? I just want some info on how other people are feeling about this new field.
Iāll share my thoughts. I think that teams will be able to solo almost, if not, max out this field. As for the robot designs, I think that (especially for robot with multiple arms) scoring risers in the bottom goals will be much more important as you can only get one completed stack per color. Just for context of point scoring, today Oct. 1, I can get 84 points solo in this setup of a teamwork match (in the other one I could get 141 solo, more than the max score of 114 solo for this field).
wait did they change field setup!!!?? Have i been practicing teamwork wrong!!?
