Spin Up predictions?

The towers in the reveal are just 3 identical images of the Bank of America Financial Center in Dallas.

This was a leak found on instagram, unsure if it’s true

That is an image of the game clean sweep from a long time ago (2010 I think)

It doesn’t look like it needs spinning.

you are precisely correct, thank you

I’m so exited to make vex components move at speeds they were not designed to
And few people to tell me not to do that

bro same, my mentor got frustrated when I mad an off-season x drive flywheel bc I was bored

Uhh, that is the game field and scoring for Clean Sweep, which was the 3rd VRC game to be released after the FTV VRC split. I don’t even think the GDC would release a game as simple as that (simple to score and does not take a lot of motor power to do so) as we have more powerful motors than what was available back then.

Really old game buster

I was talking about the tarp

yea I found that out from the 3 previous responses

change up was arguably an easier challenge than even clean sweep, and certainly simpler. At least clean sweep had different elements and multiple ways to score them.

Nothing but net. Hmmmmm

nbn was technically challenging.
And yes, it was only about shooting balls, but there were many ways to do it, flywheel, puncher, catapult, etc.

And by the time we reached worlds elimination rounds, the end game segment of lifting the alliance robot up ended up having teams scrambling for lifting robots as their alliance.

Change up was built to be a dynamic driver-oriented game… its hard to say where it might have gone without covid. Not saying you are wrong about the simplicity of doing only one thing with only one scoring object.

Yeah, the drama of the final final lift https://youtu.be/v_KTkTS6GrQ?t=32

Does anyone think spinup will allow unlimited piston as this year does? Or maybe increase the number of motors?

The pneumatics rules have never changed year after year, and I would not expect any changes to the pneumatics rules.

You are allowed to have one piston per air cylinder (since you cannot open or modify pneumatic components), but an unlimited number of air cylinders. The limit has always been 2 air tanks maximum.

definitely do not expect any changes to the pneumatic limits, being 2 reservoirs and unlimited of everything else, with no motor penalties. We may see the newer lower power motors being available for competition, but with all the supply chain issues perpetually plaguing the current devices, I doubt vex wants to introduce yet another product which would inevitably be out of stock for most of the season.

I wouldn’t expect pneumatics to be quite so valuable next season though, this game was probably the one where teams benefited the most from pneumatics, since there was so much you could do with them and drives are particularly demanding this season, needing to be blisteringly fast and still quite strong. Next game will probably see pneumatics being equally usable, but perhaps less advantageous as this one.

I just hope Spin up will not have the same kind of stuff like rings that affect the drive and the route of auto, and it also take a lot of time to restore. :frowning:
