Does anyone have any “tutorials” for mounting tracking wheels?
It’s not very difficult. 3 in a u shape. Just look it up on YouTube, or search the forum.
My team is very new so we do not know how to do it. I searched on both YouTube and the forum and I did not find anything regarding mounting tracking wheels.
A forum search for “tracking wheel mount” returned lots of results, including these two threads which looked particularly relevant:
I’ve set up the forward/backwards odomentry wheels but I could find a reliable way to do the side to side wheel. Since I always need it to not move side to side while going down to make sure it always falls in the same place. I couldn’t find anything on how to do this on the vex forums.
I was thinking of using linear slide stuff but I know that can wobble a bit and setting up the track could be difficult to do it from 2 sides. (Considering I would have nowhere to brace it on for 1 side)

Hey,
So what i am trying to do is make a mechanism on our bot that basically acts as suspension for my non-motored wheels. Because i am planning on make a drive with tracking wheels with encoders but the problem that occurs is that, encoders wont work if the bot goes off the ground which could happen during the skills or match auto.
Does anyone have any ideas or designs that could help me achieve this idea?
