Trouble with our intake

My team is having trouble with our intake. No matter how much I may try, I cannot get the discs angled enough to catch onto our intake. Any ideas that could possibly help?

what kind of intake do you use? when i have issues with that i try to have a piece of easy to bend plastic which can scoop up the discs easily (kind of like a ramp) and then have that transfer the disc into the intake. i’m not sure how this would work for you because of different sorts of robots and intakes, but its an idea (:

Yeah sorry, here it is, don’t mind the odd shaped plastic, its not very well built

Try using a floating intake or some sort of flex/rubber band roller in your intake like disco, BLZ-i, MENTORBUILT, or any of these

you could try adding a ramp on the bottom of your intake

I would recommend adding a bottom section to the ramp to intake the disks better before putting them more vertical. You could put for example a couple of flex wheels on a hinge intake that will grip the disk and help it bring it up to your final angle.

We unfortunately do not have any flex wheels, our biggest problem at the current moment is that I can’t get the angle I want with plastic

A solution is taking the 5x1 flat plate and just bending it.

Thought about it and tried it but did not work, I am currently trying one more time however. Any tips for how to bend it efficiently without ruining it at all?

I’d recommend a floating intake. Just put part of it on a shaft so it can pick up the disks easier. Might be worth a shot.

Sorry, I do not really understand what you mean, do you have a reference or photo?

The Disco bot uses a floating intake, basically you want your intake connected to an axle, so it can rotate on top of the disks and grab them easier.
