If there is anyone who has experience with lua scripting or ROBLOX scripting, or has experience with building, please let me know. This is no easy task, so please give me some time. If anything, I just need someone to help with creating .obj files that have less than 8000 polygons of VEX’s .STL files of the field and robot parts and that would really help me get things done quicker.

Hello, I will be allowing you guys to build a VEX robot for the competition. If you can, please friend me on ROBLOX (mrfrogg1) and I will add you to a TeamCreate. The team create will be the place where you can build your own robot, in which I will then turn it into a robot that the people can compete with in-game. I do not have a roblox account. Is the game free, and is it easy to set up on a laptop?
- ROBLOX is completely free, just go on roblox.com and make an account
- I will be attempting to make the game playable on laptop and XBox. You can use mouse and keyboard but I will prefer you buy or utilize an XBox controller as it’s closer to driving a robot.
Is it played in a browser or on a desktop application?
On the website, you would click the “Play” button of a game and it will automatically download and run a desktop application.
I know I already started building, but is it okay if I build a skeleton frame of the bot? I still have to build my actual real life bot, so I was thinking about leaving out things like the tilter or the gearbox on the arms
You will have to build as much as you can with the parts given. If there’s not enough detail I will modify it so there will be, if you do not have the time
