VEXcode VR is Now Available!

When I try to save the code to my device, it says to chose an app to open it and none of the apps successfully open it.

Is anyone else having trouble getting Disc Maze to load? I’ve tried on multiple devices and it just hangs .

The programs created in VR will only be able to be opened and run on the vr.vex.com website. The programs are not able to run in other VEXcoding apps. If you want to look at the text code that the blocks generate you should be able to view in most code editors (TextEdit for example)

To load the program go to vr.vex.com and choose File → “Load From Your Device” similar to how you saved the program in the first place.

Already did that as well. Just wondering if others were having the same issue.

Is anyone having problems with saving files and loading files? This stopped working for me on a Windows 10 pc using Chrome.

If project names stay the same, Chrome might be blocking the additional downloads.

Some of my students are saying they can not save project on a MAC and some said their program froze before they could move all the disks in Disk Transport activity level 2? Any suggestions.

Recommend if anyone is having issues to describe the issue in the feedback system so we can capture the diagnostic information. Not much else I can suggest without more information.

How do we track development releases and new features? I was using this forum to do that. It looks like you introduced print commands and variable tracking in the ide. These were two of my top feature requests.

Thank you.

Yes, check the forum, Tim started a new topic for the last update.

Also at the bottom of the VEXcode VR page is a “Changelog” button to display all of the updates since launch.

VEXCode VR actually already had this function. I just had to look for the atan block.

Right now it is working well. I have fun using the program. I will like to see a similar program for VEX EDR V5. Thank you!

Hi, folks.

I have a student experiencing the same issue as brandonstan22, where she is seeing the “There is no application set to open the document…” during a “Save to your device” in Chrome on MacOS. I understand why this error comes up when attempting to open a .vrblocks file from the finder by double-clicking, but I can’t figure out why it might be happening during a save. Like tfriez, I wondered if this might be caused by reusing filenames, but the same problem occurred after renaming the project with a unique name. Any ideas?

Thanks,

RAH
