OFFICIAL PREDICTION:
On one side of the field is a tank of water. Robots have to move the water from the tank into their respective scoring zone. Robots are permitted to convert the water into any state of matter before scoring it. (somehow the scoring zone holds steam).
Rules: Only two drive motors with only blue cartriges and no external gearing, to effectively limit the weight of robots.
No size limit.
No blocking/ robot contact and pushing
Robots are not allowed to use any non-VEX commercial electronics, but are permitted to make their own. As in, actually make, the only commercial things allowed to be used are resistors and wire and solder and stuff.
I see no reason why this could cause any problems whatsoever in VEX…

I believe you’re mistaken, they’re robotics llamas contructed from the V6 system.
The goal of this game is to cook Australian dishes (judged by Paul, Prue, and DRow, definitely the most Australian people ever) in the Great Barrier Reef on underwater see-saws while using force-fields to enslave armies of evil fishies to destory the other team’s llamas.
But you’re still limited to 88w of motors.

@DRow is a forum admin and VEX employee of marketing/PR or something like that. He is also a future member of the GDC and advocates strongly for a meme game.
Search him up on the forum bar and you should get a lot.

After 12 years spent in my lab trying to investigating this very subject, I have received revelation. Water game. This is the closest mankind could ever get to pure perfection, a VEX Water Game. I rest my case, thank you for coming to my TED talk.
Next year’s game will be Wack-a-Robot. Instead of moles, it’s robots. Vex will make the executive decision to make it legal for teams to intentionally and maliciously destroy another team’s robot. I’m sure that’ll go over well with the people who spent months working on their robot.

VEX Rock-em Sock-em, where ANYTHING is legal. Teams try to remove the opponent robots COMPLETELY without damaging the field. It’s just an open field.
The field would be raised with large holes for a bot to stick out of, and another bot would be on top of the platform, trying to slam it with a “hammer.”
Kinda like battlebots, but not quite. More like Wack-A-Mole.

The field can be disassembled by robots and used as a weapon. Participants are not permitted to wear safety goggles in the pits or on the field.
We are introducing VEX Pyrotechnics! You light as many candles as possible, and you must take out the other team’s candles. 65892N would use butane gas ![]()

What if we were to make submarine robots… just have them crawl around on the bottom of the field like Australian crabs or something. You could make a 3 dimensional game where robots could swim over and under each other (wait why isnt over under a water game? haha). That would make defense way harder… and vex is all about overcoming challenges right?
I think just about everyone wants vex to remove expansion limits. Even if vex wanted to go the route of having robots starting in a 12x12x12 instead of 18x18x18 I think everyone would love it.
What’s the difference between a catapult and a trebuchet?
A catapult is a single lever with the load on one end (the game object) and the force on the other (motor, pully…). A trebuchet is the same but the load is on a string and is uses gravity as the force. This gives you both centrfical force, and lineral force (motion from the load swinging and the lever moving).
The problem with this in VEX is the size limit and weight needed for the force.
2024-2025 VRC Rendezvous. Rendezvous is played on a 12x12 square field, complimented by numerous ‘acces points’ where robots must offensivly and defensivly compete to beat each other to these suppliy zones. Much like VIQRC SlapShot, robots must interact with various field elements to release scoring elements into robot possession. In the center of the field will be a large tower surrounded by 4 goals.(2 per alliance). Each element put into an alliance colored goal will be worth 2 points). In the center o the 4 goals is one large tower where robots compete to complete an alliance elevation strategy. Both robots must achieve the same tier of elevation on this upright strucutre known as the Rendezvous point.
