I Kind of have the same story but it was while worlds were going on but instead of one JBL speaker there were two speakers playing Kuda, Roxanne, and Everyday bro. Also we got in trouble by the teachers and staff for putting that loud Music
that was a tragic match we all experienced
whatās the worst thing that EVER happened to you in a tournament?
for me, we were practicing before our game. but our game was in 3 hours, and we kept on practicing. when it was the time for the game, we realized that our motors were overheatedā¦

now I want to know about your worst thing in a tournament
oof.
In States last year my team made it to finals and we were scoring like madmen and we were winning and then our robot whitescreened halfway though the match⦠we lost states by 1 point and didnāt get to go to worlds because it was middle school vrc. My team captain is still salty about it to this day. ![]()
The worst thing that happened to me was we where the 5th team in quals at states and were planning on getting to finals, then in the quarterfinals we got dqued because a cube rolled across the IPZ, It was the worst.
I unplugged our lift motor to cool down. When it came to the match, I forgot to plug it in and we never deployed for 2 matches.
The morning of the tournament we spilled a bottle of coke on our design notebook
mood weāve spilled coffee on ours so much during turning point
May I suggest a merge @DRow? These topics are fairly similar.
There have also been a couple of similar topics in the past. So possibly a merge/revival for any of these?
I lost a IQ final match by 2 points. The judge didnāt count 6 balls that should be counted. Our team argued with the judge for 10 minutes. We asked him for a redo, but he said no.
That must have sucked
key thing. you argued. When they are forced to take the defensive on things, it decreases your already minimal chances of changing the refās mind about the matter. you need to be civil and polite. I understand that your team was under stressful circumstances, but the refs know that too. they are stuck in the middle on a call like that. either way it is a lose bc they are going to ruin one teams night either way. they are more inclined to listen when you are respectful and reasonable about bringing your case to them. try that next time. Iām not saying it will work, but it has a more likely chance of working. am I correct in saying this @holbrook or any of you other refs?
our scout left 2 hours before alliance selection (1 pm) for a band concert. we completely forgot (and remembered at 3 pm). we ended up alliancing with a terrible traybot and losing in quarterfinals.
My school has had its best season ever, doubling all our trophies in one season. 2 teams from our school qualified for worlds for the first time ever⦠and then worlds gets cancelled.
Our first match was the first match in the entire state and of the entire season, and we tipped over 5 seconds in, we still won though, haha. But it gets better, our last, very final match of the season⦠We tipped during Auton. Wait wait wait⦠WE STILL WON! AND that final match was against our sister team. Hahaha
Edit: I realize this arguably sounds like our best moments, but they felt really bad for most of the real life experience.
May I say something? C.A.R.R.I.E.D. We all know that feeling. Been there, done thatā¦
Bruh we lost in Semis at Kalahari because a cube went diagonal in our tray and was too far up to outake it. F
is some kind of [Noob] joke Iām too [Smart] to understand?
/s
lol. if you havenāt ever been carried at least once, youāre doing something wrong. in order to learn, we must first fail.
Wise words.
