I remember versing one and they kind of failed to unfold but it was hilarious.

Yea that was pretty awesome strategy and one of the best stealth bot moves this season. I liked that they waited until SF to do it and that it kept a robot basically brain pinned in the finals.
There was a real wallbot with a wide cross brace mode that when it got deployed the other team went nuts. I canāt find it, but it was very, very cool to watch.
The 85% tray bots could further be dividedā¦ i feel like, even at worlds, a solid 15% of all teams competing could be basically considered push bots. A lot of which are tray bots that so bad that they are basically push bots.
But if we start taking into account āstealth movesā like mine, we also have to take into account reactions. A few weeks later I saw that UK Sig event where another lift tried the same thing and the opposing teams reacted much better. (And this was SF because they were the #1 seed and I was #4; I wouldāve likely waited until finals otherwise.)
Thereās no real way to simulate strategy. So the simulation will likely be little more than 4 Skills runs. Itāll reward the large power teams, but not the strategic teams who only do okay because they are forced to use strategy over power. (Not that strong power teams arenāt strategic.) So with that taken into account thereās no real way to simulate a match, which was what everyone knew from the beginning.
Edit: Though Iām pretty sure more obscure and lower-level matches like that one wonāt make it into the RECFās highlight reel of the season.

We are middle school team 8192B from Shanghai, China. Our robotās structure is exactly the 1% scissor lift. Here is the video that we filmed at the Asia-pacific championship in December. How could I forget a scissor lift instead of a bar lift that is much more stable, and standoff claws (if I can see correctly) is great idea!

We also have a scissor lift (the reason I made the previous post) and we similarly want to show that this kind of lift can be a good design option. You guys definitely help to reinforce this point. #scissorgang

In Virtual Worlds, everyone is on their best behavior, follows the Code of Conduct and understands and complies with all GDC rules. All teams are Student Centered, everyone is professional and a referee never misses a call. Therefore there are never any DQās. And the REC Foundation lives happily ever after.

What awards will be given? Can judged awards like Design and Excellence still be given without interview and notebook?
