V5RC 2024-25: High Stakes!

Assumming that you can only place rings of your color onto your alliance specific stake and taking into account that you only have 24 rings the max amount of points your alliance could get would be 88 per alliance

Two Full mobile goals in double=32
7 more top rings=21
5 other rings=5
Two Tier 3 hangs=24
Aunton=6
But if you can put rings of an opposing color onto your alliances stake and have the points count towards your alliance the max would be 90 as 74100dEli said.

You are forgetting the two preloads which could each count for one more point bringing the total to 90.

The preloads are part of the 48

Going from 22 match loads to 0 will be refreshing.

For this game, I think PTO climbs will be realy effective. I have no idea how people will end up scoring, descoring, and intaking donuts.

even though I am pretty sure it is still capped at zero because in the video they say they count as zero points and subtract an equivelant amount of points elsewhere. :frowning:

Once the middle school and vex u teams have finished worlds. So on teusday

Not sure why people are not also commenting on the connection to skyrise and this game.

In skyrise, you could cap a wall post with a cube for a bonus (forget details), but that top cube could be removed/replaced fairly easily. This year’s goals fit 6 rings below the top cone element. If the rules allow for 7 rings, there would be a similar situation of a 7th top ring that is easy to de-score.

Seven rings changes the calculation for the all goals and the nature of end game… climb or top goals? Creates a situation where last minute 7th rings can swing values of goals (especially positive and negative goals). Placing your ring on top of an opponents + goal is a 6 point swing and better than low elevation. Double high elevation = 24, swapping all + and - goals to your advantage = 24 points.

Gonna be fun.

I was gonna do 66 watt 600 on 2.75. Just so that if I saw someone going to steal my MOGO from the corner I can just zip on over there @Z-Axis

Personally I think that climbing wouldn’t be worth it as other teams could then steal your double goals and make them negative in the time it takes to climb

The biggest issue I see is the unbalanced sides. although each side is mirrored, the +/- zones are not. this means that the red goal rush side has the + zone while blue has the - zone. follow this situation. An alliance has a robot that has no autonomous and a robot with an autonomous. If the alliance is red, they can convert the rushed goal to 16 points. if the alliance has blue, they load the rushed goal with rings for 8 points. The blue side cannot load with red rings and the minus zone because that only subtracts 8 points from red. The only way for Blue to counter is to play the other side and use their positive zone. this surrenders the rush goal to Red, who now has an advantage later in the match. either way, blue loses!

Will the opponents able to grab the negative stakes out?

@Doubble there are 4 corners in the field each side has one ×2 and one -.if what you said was true it would’ve been quikly patched up.

Is there an estimate on when pre-ordered game elements will ship?

I don’t think it has. both the animation and the world field have the bad configurations. Hopefully, they do patch it soon.

Somebody has made a 3D model of the Rings and posted it on Thingiverse. If you have a 3D printer, you can print it off and start to model a robot if you would like.

Im curious to know if we can purposely take other opponents’ donuts and then make them negative points. If so, that is gonna be a very very fun and probably widely used strategy, also I feel like this game will be much more in-game-reactionary than the last game.

Did the show the mesuments for the segments in the tower?

Round up + tipping point :skull: :skull:
